So as you may know Alivia’s 4th birthday was this past week. And what a week it was. We celebrated her birthday pretty much all week long and it was so great!
To start we did some photoshoots with this adorable floral 4. The pictures turned out so great. Then on the day of her birthday (March 10) we went to the zoo! She had so much fun. We don’t go to the zoo as often as I would like so this was definitely a treat for her. It was a super early start to the day because we were just so excited to get going. We got to the zoo right when they opened. Our first stop was feeding the giraffes, which is a personal favorite of mine. Alivia, not so much. Her sister, however, loved it!
Then we went to see more animals, including elephants, warthogs (which they let us come and pet), chickens and birds (got to feed both of these), lions, tigers, monkeys and bears. I mean we saw every animal we could. The girls got to go into the petting zoo and ride a carousal.
During our lunch break Alivia and her sister were offered free ice cream for her birthday and that just made their day. Once we were home we made cupcakes and Alivia was able to open a few presents.
But the fun didn’t stop there, this past Saturday (the 14th) she had her actual Birthday Party at the Colorado Springs House of Bounce (great place for a party for any locals out there!). She had so much fun! She had some of her friends from school and from her dance class come and celebrate with her. I struggled to keep up with her, she was everywhere. The party was 2 hours and it flew by in a blur of pizza, cake and children jumping all over the place.
After that she was able to open all of the gifts she received at home! By far, her favorite gift was the camera I mentioned in this post. She has not stopped taking pictures with it, and it makes me so happy!
It was a great week full of celebration, I’m not sure how we are going to top it next year! She will probably be talking about it for weeks to come! And now, since my youngest has a birthday in May, I’m off to start planning another birthday celebration for her! I would love to hear some of your fun birthday memories below!
